The Medicine 2 Workshop  is generally focused on advanced internal medicine skills for International Medical Graduates (IMGs), with a strong emphasis on AMC Clinical (AMC 2) exam preparation.

It builds on basic medicine knowledge and helps candidates handle more complex, multi-system medical cases in an AMC-style framework.

1. Advanced medical case approach (AMC Clinical–oriented)

• Managing complex adult medicine cases rather than simple single-diagnosis scenarios

• Integrating:

  • Multiple comorbidities

  • Red flags

  • Acute vs chronic prioritisation

• Thinking like an Australian junior doctor / registrar level expected in AMC Clinical

2. Structured history-taking for complex medicine

• Focused, time-efficient medical histories

• Linking symptoms to likely systems (cardio, resp, neuro, endocrine, renal, GI)

• Identifying life-threatening conditions early

• Avoiding common AMC mistakes (over-questioning, poor prioritisation)

    • Vitals
